The winner of the 1986 Nobel Prize for Peace, Eilie Wiesel, has been honored with the striking of this limited edition issue medal.  

 

Elie Wiesel has agreed that a portion of the sales of this Commemorative Silver Medallion will be donated to Yeshiva Bet Shearim.

The obverse was designed by Elie Wiesel’s friend, artist Marc Klionsky. The reverse was designed by artist Danuta Haremska.  The medal is minted in sterling .925 silver by the Mint of Norway to the most exacting proof quality.
